Meet Wilson, a stunning 5 year old boy looking for a new home as he's not been getting as much attention as he would like since the arrival of a baby in his family.
Wilson is a playful and excitable dog who greeted our volunteer with a bark and a fuss. Once he'd said hello he took himself to bed with a toy and was happy watching the humans talk about him.
When out on a walk, Wilson walks well on the lead and ignores other dogs. This clever boy also has good recall. He has been to obedience classes so he knows all the basics. It's really boundaries his new owner will need to work on.
Wilson is a happy and friendly boy but he has been a little spoilt and has turned into a confident dog who knows what he wants. He loves to interact with humans but is very protective of his bed and won't tolerate being fussed in his bed if he has decided he wants to be left alone. For this reason, he cannot be rehomed with children, who wouldn't necessarily understand when to leave him alone.
Wilson is very good and clean in the home. He cannot live with cats. He is dominant with other confident dogs but could potentially live with a placid female.
This lovely boy has a lot to offer and a lot of love to give. He will make a great companion for a confident handler who doesn't let Wilson walk all over them and also respects his need for personnal space.
