These are dogs that need to be moved into a foster or permanent home quickly. It may be because we have no kennel spaces or because the dog is not doing well in a kennel environment.
This is what rescue is really about. Don't dismiss an older dog as they have so much more to offer. Every dog deserves a nice home not just the youngsters.

Here we have a lovely selection of German Shepherd crosses as we know that not everyone wants a full GSD.
The giant Caucasian Shepherd or Caucasian Ovcharka is a breed that originates from the Caucasus Mountains of the former old Soviet Union. Their protective instincts are legendary and they were bred to guards flocks up in the mountains against predators like wolves and thieves. They are sometimes called Russian Mountain or Russian Bear dogs.
This is not the breed for everyone, indeed very few homes here in the UK will be either suitable or capable of owning a full grown Caucasian Shepherd. This is not a dog for suburbia, they need rural homes with either a very large secure garden or preferably, securely fenced land.
These are German Shepherds or other types of shepherd dogs from other countries - mainly Romania, Cyprus or Spain. They are not GSDR dogs but we feature dogs for other rescues and rescuers to try and help them find homes for these dogs. The dogs from other countries have full passports, they are rabies vaccinated and microchipped. Most have had terrible lives and GSDR believe they now deserve the chance of enjoying a kind loving home.
ADOPTION FEES APPLY WHICH MAY BE DIFFERENT TO OURS AND IN SOME CASES TRANSPORT COSTS TO THE UK.
