Whiskey is a 4 year old spayed bitch who sadly needs a new home.
Her current owner offered to help her previous owner as he was suffering from parkinson=s and couldn't look after Whiskey anymore. Sadly Whiskey is not liked by the current owners resident dog and there have been a few spats.
The volunteer was greeted by a very friendly young lady, who was pleased to accept a visitor into the home. No jumoing or barking.
She is fine with children over the age of 9 years, hasn't interacted with younger children.
Sadly the weather was so horrendous that the volunteer didn't take Whiskey for a walk. The owner says that she has a reasonable recall but does like to rush to say hello to other dogs, which can be daunting for the dog she has earmarked for her attention !! She is said to be good on a lead and looks to the owner when a command is given.
There is a cat in the home but this was unseen. The cat is seperated from the dogs by a gate but can be seen by the dogs. We have no idea whether she would be accepting of a cat in the home.
Whiskey is not only a pretty girl she has a sweet nature too. She does seek reassurance from her human and once bonded is a very loyal dog who loves cuddles and attention. She really deserves a chance to be happy with her people who can give her time to adjust. A special lady needing a special home
