Rex is a stunning 2 year old male looking for a new home after an incident with the young child in his current home. Our volunteer went to meet Rex and found him to be a very friendly boy who loves to play with his toys. He's very much a typical GSD – he's extremely intelligent and is a little protective of his owners.
Rex knows all basic commands and is crate trained. In fact, the clever boy has figured out how to open his crate and likes to take himself to his safe place.
Rex is good on the lead. He's only ever been off lead in a secure field so his new owners will have to test and work on his recall. He can react to dogs he sees but will stop if you say 'no'. He has lived with another dog so could potentially live with a friend after careful introductions.
Rex is only two years old and has yet to learn some boundaries so we will not rehome him with children.
This lovely boy has a lot of potential and is waiting for someone to take him on and continue his training. If you're looking for a dynamic, intelligent and loyal companion, Rex is the dog for you.
