Vinnie in Norfolk

Vinnie: a good lad

Poor Vinnie did not have a good start in life. His present owners acquired him when he was advertised on Gumtree and travelled the length of the country to rescue him from the kind of fate that might have awaited him. Since then, he has proved to be a good family dog. He is said to be fantastic with children of all ages and has achieved a Bronze award in the KC good citizenship awards. He is an all round friendly polite boy.

Vinnie is being rehomed through no fault of his own. Sadly his present owners have not been able to meet Vinnie's needs recently, due to ill health. It is fair to say that he might well need to have his established level of training and dog reactivity brushed up, as it has not been reinforced regularly recently. This is why his owner feels that rehoming would be the best option for him, although heartbreaking to the family.

If you are looking for a basically well trained polite boy then Vinnie could be the one for you. Our assessor found him a 'well loved friendly boy' who was easy to walk. He did not react to other dogs, whom they met, and his recall is good. Bear in mind that he was with an experienced GSD assessor at this time. He is a good boy but he might 'try it on' with a beginner.

If you have the experience to refresh the work done with this boy, then he will not be a challenge. He is a good lad.
