TEDDY - BUCKS

Teddy is 4 years old

He is entire, therefore will be adopted under a neuter contract, vaccinated and microchipped.

• Children: He is good with children over the age of 5, he has not been introduced to younger.
• Dogs: The owner is unsure what he is like with dogs, but he has never been in a fight.
• Cats: Not Good, therefore a cat free home needed.
• Reaction to visitors: Very barky and excited.
• Travelling: travels well in a crate.
• Barking: Teddy likes to bark A LOT when strangers visit, or when he wants a ball thrown.
• Teddy currently lives with another dog and could live with an older calmer bitch.
• Loves the hosepipe
• Doesn’t like giving up his balls/toys therefore 2 needed to trade, but no aggression.
• Lead: Teddy is very strong on the lead, with very few commands and it seems very little training.
• He LOVES his balls and is very focused on having them thrown for him.

Teddy is a lovely but big strong lad who needs retraining. The volunteer found him very intimidating on arrival but he only barked, nothing else. Once settled he was a friendly boy who just wanted to play.

He needs a home that will out in some training, teach him basic commands and give him a purpose in life. The fact that he is obsessed with balls should help with training. He is a smart boy who should in the right environment learn quickly.

We think he may suffer from separation anxiety as he doesn’t like to be behind a closed door, where he cannot see you. We would be looking for a home that we be home most of the time, who can slowly build him up to being left.
