STANLEY - KENT

This lovely lad is Stanley and he is sadly looking for his new home.

He is 2 years old and is vaccinated and microchipped.

Stanley overprotects his home and family. He struggles with strangers coming into the home and would need someone who is willing to work with this.

With the right guidance and understanding that this will not be an overnight fix Stanley will learn that he can relax and be a dog.

Stanley is currently in kennels, and does not show his guarding behaviour there. Any of the girls can go in his kennel and take him out. Her loves them all. It is within a home that he feels the need to protect.

Stanley is inknown around children so we would be looking at adult only or older calm toung adults who have an understanding of large exciteable dogs.

Stanley is said to be fine with female dogs but dislikes male dogs.

He is NOT cat tested so we would be looking for a cat free home.

Loves to watch horses.

Stanley is a guarder of his pack. He is extremely protective of his humans and his home.

At the initial assessment the volunteers met him outside of his home where they were greeted very nicely and had fusses. The volunteer took him for a walk and whilst he kept looking back to see where his owner was he didn't try and pull back to her.

He loves his walks and can walk very nice nicely on a lead, unless he sees a cat, then you will need ski's as he will oull like a train to get to the cat. He is currently walked with a headcollar.

In short: Stanley NEEDS an experienced home who can teach him how to behave. He has ruled his house and his humans and needs to be taken back to basics. He will need structure from day one, slow introduction to any new home, he mustn't be given the run of the house initially and slow introduction to any new people.

Please don't overlook Stanley, he doesn't deserve to be in kennels. He is young and eager to learn.
