Meet Jax, a lovely 7 year old male looking for a new home as his current owners don't have time to meet his needs anymore. Jax doesn't get walked much and has become a little overweight. He is very friendly but a little needy and excitable as he is craving the attention he's not currently getting.
When our volunteer went to meet Jax, he barked at first but kept his distance until called. He then enjoyed a fuss and treats which he took very nicely. This gorgeous boy is a gentle giant – he's good around children, gets along with dogs and even has a cat for a best friend ! He knows all basic commands and only tends to jump up when he gets overexcited. Jax is everything you could want in a dog and deserves to find a home with someone who has the time to take him for nice walks. He does pull on the lead initially but eventually settles and enjoys sniffing everything. Jax has always lived with a female dog so would be happy with a friend, although only a medium size or bigger dog as he is wary of small dogs.
Jax wants nothing more but to be part of a family and be included in lots of activities. He has the sweetest nature and will make a great, loyal companion.
