Sherman - South Yorks

Sherman is a very happy and friendly dog who is looking for a new home due to a change in his owner's circumstances. This lovely boy greeted our volunteer with a sniff and a wagging tail. He can jump up at visitors but only in excitment and will stop when told to. He is also very good around children.
Sherman is very people orientated and likes to be the center of attention so he is looking for someone who can spend plenty of time with him. He has lived with a female dog all his life so would be happiest rehomed with another dog. He has never lived with cats.
When out on a walk, Sherman can be a little strong on the lead at first but soon settles. We were told he will bark at other dogs if they are close. He doesn't react to dogs he knows – he is even used to other dogs coming to visit the home.
Sherman knows basic commands such as sit, paw etc... but would benefit from more training. After all, it's a great excuse to spend more time with his human !
Sherman is a super friendly lad and whoever gets to take him home will be extremely lucky. He's a laid back dog whose only quirk is his fascination for his medallion - he becomes unsettled if he's not wearing it. This gorgeous boy is ready to start his new life with a loving family.
