Saxon in Norfolk

SUPER SAXON

What an opportunity! Saxon is a lovely natured pup ‘without a bad bone in his body' This is the opinion of an experienced trainer locally, who is fostering this pup after rescuing him from being PTS. Yes really. You would not believe it.

Poor Saxon has had a dreadful start in life. He was rescued from an unsatisfactory home, where he had developed a skin condition. The owner wrongly diagnosed this as mange and took the dreadful decision to have him PTS, rather than pay for him to be treated. Thankfully he was rescued and is recovering from his ordeal with a local experienced rescuer and dog trainer. As a bonus, it was discovered that he skin condition was not mange, as had been feared, and decent food and a clean environment means that it is improving. He looks much better in all respects.

Of course, as well and being physically neglected, every other aspect of this pup's life was ignored. He was not trained and behaved like a seven week old pup in a near adult body. And he is VERY boisterous! Needless to say, living with a trainer, he has been taken in hand, and his training is coming on by leaps and bounds. Happily he has a great character and is intelligent and willing to please. He will be no problem to anyone who is an experienced owner - only, did I mention that he is VERY BOISTEROUS?

We know that Saxon can live amicably with a pack of dogs of all sizes. He is unsocialized outside, but this only needs work. We have no knowledge of how he is with children, but he is likely to be sweet natured with older children. He would not be suitable for a home with younger ones simply because of his exuberance.

All in all, Saxon is a super boy. His trainer says: 'I believe he will make someone a wonderful dog'.
