Sasha is a 4 year old, entire female German Shepherd in need of a new home. Sadly the other dog with whom Sasha lives has taken a dislike to her so Sasha is spending a lot of time shut up on her own in the kitchen.
Our volunteer describes Sasha as having a “lovely temperament” and was greeted with a wagging tail when she visited to assess her. Sasha has been fine around her current families young daughter although she can be a bit possessive of toys and food so is best placed with older children only.
She can be a bit wary of smaller dogs out and about but has never had an issue with others. She may be able to live with another dog pending successful introductions. The dog she currently lives with can be aggressive towards her but she isn’t starting the behaviour.
Sasha isn’t currently getting much in the way of walks and she is not let off lead so any new owner would need to build up her recall. They will also need to take in to account her potential to guard food and toys if sharing with another dog. She has lived with cats and may be able to share again.
Sasha travels well in the car and is fine to be left on her own at home. She has some basic training and knows sit, down and paw but would love an active home that can work her brain. If you think you might be the one for her please get in contact.
