RUSTY - WEST SUSSEX

This gorgeous boy is a mere pup and sadly looking for a new home due to a change in his owners circumstances.

He is said to be good with older children . We would not rehome him with cbhildren under 12. He is a typical pup and little chiuldren move far too quickly and could over excite him.

He currently lives with another dog who he gets on very well with but he is extremely reactive outside of the home.

We would not rehome him with cats or any other small furries.

He barks at the door, still very puppy like. Not keen on Hi Viz but getting better.

He still chews a little at home but is crated when left. Has been left for a maximum of 4 hours.

Rusty loves the car.and travels well in the boot.

When the volunteer arrived he was playing zoomies in the garden, lots of barking as he likes to be vocal when playing.

The volunteer didn't see an ounce of aggression, he was very sweet , lots of commands and enjoys attention. He is a lovely dog in the home, very well behaved.

The owners have definitley put in the basic training, but having 2 dogs , one reactive and the other that pulls on a lead, they just cannot cope with. Sadly they do not have the time or the patience to walk separately and  teach him how to react around other dogs. He is said to be good off lead but as with any new dog you will need to build up a bond before he let off lead. His recall is also patchy, fabulous with no distractions !!

He walks very well in a long line, doesn't rush out of the door, sits at the kerbs. He just cannot cope seeing other dogs so this is where work needs to be out in, on his socialisation.

In short a lovely well mannered boy with all the basics in place. He now needs someone prepared to put in the extra work needed to socialise him and work on his reactiveness, which could be a lot to do with his age.

Do you think you could take this lovely lad , in the right home he will make a wonderful companion.
