Roxy - High Peak

Roxy - High Peak

Well here we have the sweetest girl who has just celebrated her 2nd birthday but a complete project for someone who has the time and patience to train, as sadly Roxy acts like an overgrown puppy and is so excitable and squealy it takes quite a while for her to calm and sadly outside she is a definte work in progress as very strong on the lead and will try and drag you over to any dog she sees and she also tries to chase traffic. Having said all that in the presence of our volunteer she was very excited when first meeting her, barked and jumped for attention, once ignored she did calm (slightly) enough to be told to sit for a treat which took 3 attempts before Roxy understood what was being asked of her. She has never been off lead as Roxy's way is to charge over to anyone or anything and bark and jump around (no aggression) but obviously can be intimidating. At the moment she lives with 3 children who with their high energy levels just hype Roxy up more and she can knock them over like 9 pins, therefore older children only going forward.  Roxy is fed raw, hates having a bath, curently sleeps in a crate (with door open) and can be left for up to 2 hours, but if bored she will try and find things to chew! It is imperative that only experienced potential adopters come forward for roxy, if you have the patience to completely bring this girl on and seriously start to train Roxy re basic commands, lead work and generally interacting with the outside world then please let your co ordinator know you wish to register interest.
