URGENT – Help Needed for Rocky
We are urgently looking for someone who can help Rocky an 8-year-old entire male German Shepherd. Due to his current condition he cannot be placed in kennels.
Rocky has not been vaccinated since 2024. He has never lived with other dogs or cats so we would recommend a pet free home. He has been around children aged six years and over.
One of our volunteers has met him and reports that while he barks when strangers come to the door, he settles quickly and is a very affectionate dog who loves cuddles.
He does not enjoy visiting the vet, although he travels well in the car. Rocky may have IBS, but this has not been confirmed and will require veterinary investigation. He is currently being fed Chappie.
We have also been told that Rocky has recently started dragging his back legs. We have stressed to the owners that he urgently needs to see a vet to obtain a diagnosis and appropriate treatment for this issue. Unfortunately, the owners are unwilling to follow our advice to seek financial assistance from a well-known organisation and are insisting that Rocky be rehomed as soon as possible.
