River - North Wales

Meet the gorgeous River who is 3yrs old and is sadly looking for a new home through no fault of his own

River is 3yrs old and is a semi Black and Tan neutered male

River was very excited when our volunteer knocked the door he does bark which is typical of the breed and wants to jump up, no malice is in this but with some distraction could easily be rectified

He loves playing with toys and wanted our volunteer to play with him giving her toys to play tug of war or throw for him, River has a very playful nature and is a sweet boy

River came to our volunteer when called and loved having a cuddle

River walked perfectly on the lead, never pulled and was happy and relaxed on a walk

Our volunteer didn’t see any dogs while out but we are told that he barks excitedly and wines to get to the dog, we don’t think there is aggression here at all in this lad he just hasn’t been taught how to behave and we think in a new home with adopters who are going to spend the time teaching River he will within no time be an absolutely wonderful addition

River hasn’t been around small children so we recommend a home with children over 10 and no small furries as he’s never been tested with them

We feel River would suit a home where he is the only pet initially

This boy is fantastic and would flourish in a home where he can be the centre of attention in a loving home
