Ozzy - Dartmouth

This gorgeous young dog is Ozzy who is a 2-year-old long coated castrated male.

His current owner rescued him owners that had no time for him but Ozzy is now living in a small flat with an owner who has mental health problems and who sleeps 20 hours a day which means Ozzy is not getting the mental stimulation or exercise that a big dog needs.

Our volunteer has met Ozzy before and walked with him with several other dogs present, no problem.

Ozzy has recently shown aggression on the lead towards other dogs and his owner cannot cope with this.

Since these incidents, Ozzy has been muzzled on walks but he is fine off lead, it just seems to be when he is on a lead and he meets another dog on a lead. We also think that Ozzy is picking up on his owner's depression.

When our volunteer entered the flat, Ozzy greeted her nicely, let her fuss him then sat next to her on the sofa and gave her a big kiss. After 10 minutes he went and curled up on his bed.

Ozzy is a young dog so bouncy, lively and loves to play especially with his squeaky toy.

He is fine with people and he has met children over the age of 8.

He has met cats, showed no aggression but he may be tempted to chase given the chance.

Ozzy has basic training, his recall is good and he will sit for treats.

All in all a lovely boy who is just living in the wrong environment for a large active dog.

Can you give Ozzy the home he needs and deserves?
