Odin - West Yorkshire

Odin ( Odie) is a gorgeous four year old,  mid-coated entire boy who is looking for a very quiet home with an experienced owner who can spend most of their time with him and who understands the breed.

Odin's new owner will need to take life very slowly and let him process his new environment at his own pace. This poor boy has had a very poor start to life and he needs to trust his new owners at his own, slow pace.

Odin will flourish in the right home if given the time and space he needs. He is a very loving boy and would be best suited in a very calm, adult only household with minimal vistors. It is very important that the new owner has firm boundaries set and consistently sticks with them, so Odin knows exactly what is expected from him.

Odie loves his walks. He pulls initially especially if it's an unfamiliar route, but soon settles and walks nicely. Using tasty treats as incentive, he will happily walk past cyclists, dogs and horses and when reminded will stop and sit at road sides.
He enjoys car journeys.
He is wary of people he doesn't know, especially new visitors to his home. He has shown aggression if pushed too far, too early, so this will need close management and consistent training to overcome.

Odin is house trained and can be left for a couple of hours.

He loves to play fetch, a ball being his favourite toy, but accepts "all gone" when playtime is over and his toys are put away. He hasn't been off his lead, but on his longline, his recall is very good.
He loves his tasty treats, chicken and doggy patè being his favourites and using them, responds very well to training.
His inoculations are up to date.
Odie is a clever lad and very affectionate. He deserves the best life in a forever home where he can slowly learn to overcome his fears.
