MOLLY THE MAGNIFICENT
If ever any dog deserved a loving retirement it is Molly.
Throughout her life Molly has had to endure a relentless career as a bomb disposal dog. She worked in the harsh heat of Egypt for a security firm, assisting with military duties. At night, she was kennelled alone. Molly had no idea of the risks involved, of course, but she will have known that she endured a punishing regime with no comfort. And then, after long service, when she could be of no further commercial use, her reward was to have been euthanasia. In fact, her owners actually tried to end her life, twice. But gallant Molly refused to die: she lives despite their efforts. She is still recovering from the physical trauma of this to her leg. The least that humankind can do now is to find her a retirement home, where she can begin to experience the birthright of every dog - food, shelter and loving companionship.
Amazing as it might seem, Molly still loves humans and bears no malice for her inhumane treatment. However, she has been isolated throughout her life, and so is not socialised with other dogs. She will need to be homed with an experienced owner, as an only dog. She is well trained, but she is a Malinois, with all that that implies. She will need an owner who has leadership skills as well as the compassion and love that has been missing in her life hitherto.
