MAVERICK - KENT

Maverick is 4.5 years old and sadly looking for his new home due to a change in his owmners circumstances.

He is castrated, vaccinated and microchipped.

• Children: yes good with children of all ages.
• Dogs: Reactive to other dogs. Possessive of his toys. Would need to be the only dog in the home
• Cats: No. Needs a cat free home
• Livestock: Has seen livestock when on lead. No reaction but wouldn’t trust off lead.
• Reaction to visitors:  Very friendly, jumped up and gave kisses. When you sit down he likes to sit on your knee.
• Can be left for 4 to 5 hours without issue
• Travelling: Loves the car, over excitable, head out of the window style.
• Maverick is kibble fed, no known allergies,
• Loves water of any kind….
• Maverick is fine strong on a lead d controllable until he sees another dog. He has zero recall as never off lead Sadly at present not being walked at all.
• At the vets he is reactive if other dogs/cats are in the waiting room, but he is lovely with the vet.
• Maverick isn’t possessive of his food but is possessive of his toys around other dogs.

Maverick is great in the home loves children and adults alike. He has been well trained and well looked after. He hasn’t had the strictest of boundaries set but does appear to be well balanced. Out of the home he is reactive to other dogs on a lead. This seems to be a learnt behaviour following a few incidents and being restrained on a tight lead. Off lead he is calmer but likes his personal space, other dogs ARE NOT welcome in that space particularly if he has toys.

With a reset and re exposure to normal life there is no reason why he could not be as good out of the home as he is in the home.
