MARSHALL - MILTON KEYNES

Less than 24 hours in a home and he has been returned to rescue

The volunteer only saw the good side of Marshall. She thoughht he was a lovely boy who in the right home with someone of experience will absolutely excel. He has certainly regressed since his owners have been working longer hours. He is a typical anxious pup who needs his boundaries set in a calm relaxed atmosphere. He has no recall so is taken to a secure field to let off steam. He is not keen on the groomers or having a bath but enjoys puddle paddling.

Marshall  resource guards anything whether it be food or socks. If he deems it his it should not be removed. PLease be aware that this is something that will need to be handled carefully and will require work. If you are unsure what resource guarding is please ask. He can be hand fed without issue but if food put down then he needs to be left well alone.

Marsahll walks well on a figure of 8 lead and the volunteer managed to put him in a sit and keep his attention when another dog passed. With the owner he is generally being a yob on 2 legs pretending that he isd this vicious boy who can eat the world. He is the same with squirrels cats and horses.

All the above are issues that can be turned around in the right home. He just needs time and patience and some hard work to prove that he will be a wonderful addition to the right home.

Marshall NEEDS time to settle and time to trust . He mustn't be overfaced on day one. "Less is more" is an expression we seem to use a lot in rescue but it really is what he needs. Once you have given him that time the issues that he has can then be worked on. He will NOT be perfect on day one but he does deserve a home that will not give up at the first hurdle.
