Marnie - Devon

Marnie is currently in the UK but came from Egypt originally.

She was found badly injured having been thrown in the garbage.  Her legs were not working and she was covered in her own poo and maggots were eating at her.

She was taken to a shelter and had 8 months of intensive treatment.  She is now doing really well.  She still walks differently but is otherwise healthy.  She is spayed.

She likes people and got on well with other dogs shelter.  She is not cat tested.  She gets on well with her adopted brother another GSD, she is generally most comfortable with other big dogs.

She could potentially live with older children who are respectful of her after careful introductions. She was child tested at the shelter.

Marnie was assessed in Egypt and has a number of historical orthopaedic issues likely caused by trauma.  This has had further assessment in the UK The UK vets don’t think there is anything to be done at the moment.

Marnie has been in her UK home for 2.5 months but is being surrendered due to her incontinence issues.

Neither Miracle’s Mission or her adopters knew about this before Marnie arrived from Egypt despite her seeing various vets, staying overnight, and spending extended time with our co -ordinator, there was no indication of these issues in Egypt.

Marnie has a lot of accidents but does have some awareness of her bodily needs, as she squats to go for a wee and a poo.

Marnie is described by her current adopters as nervous in temperament and struggles with vet examinations.
