WE DON'T HAVE LONG TO FIND LILY HER RETIREMENT HOME
Lovely Lily is 10 years young and sadly looking for her retirement home through no fault of her own. Her owner is having to move and she cannot take Lily with her. She has to be out by the end of September.
Lily greeted the volunteer with lots of sniffs but no barking. She was extremely pleased to see her and wanted her attention for the majority of the visit. BUT she can be nervous around some people, she seems calmer around females, she doesn't like to be overwhelmed so she would be a lady that takes her time to trust. She will come to you when she is ready, RATHER THAN YOU MAKING A FUSS OF HER.
She has grown up with children but we feel at her age we would be looking at older calmer children.
When Lily was young she went to training and was good on and off lead. Over the years the owners confidence has slipped and she is wary of other people and dogs which sadly has fed through to Lily, so Lily doesn't get let off hner lead and the owner will hide if she sees anyone when out walking. Witha confident handler some time and slow introductions we are sure she will come around.
Lily's reaction to other dogs is to bark and lunge if tyoo cliose, but to people she doesn't really react. Lily has fabulous lead manners, unless she wanted to have a sniff at something.
In short a sweet lady who enjoys her walks and desperately needs a home to retire too .
