Lexi is a petite shepherd cross who is sadly in need of a new home due to a change in her owners circumstances.
Lexi has sadly had 2/3 homes in her short life and is now looking for someone who can offer her a loving home for the remainder of her life.
Although not a fill shepherd Lexi has many endearing qualitites and really shouldn't be overlooked.
Lexi is not a very confident girl and would benefit from potentially living with an older calm male dog as she will watch and ;learn from them. In her current home she wouldn't initially take treats from ther strange volunteer who went to visit, but took the lead from the male shepherd who happily accepted a treat. Lexi then moved forward and took the treat very nicely. She is not keen on female dogs but seems to be fine with males.
Lexi loves water and swimming. She will happily play ball but her favourite game would be tug.
Lexi is a definite NO to cats. She originally lived on a farm and is reported to be ok with livestock.
Lexi has had a lot to contend with recently, and the volunteer feels that in a stable loving family she would have time to decompress and relax and start to use that keen intelligence that she has.
We need a quiet home in a fairly quiet location. A busy road in the centre of a town does not help Lexi's anxiety, she will not settle and will bark everytime she hears something.
Lexi is a sweet gentle girl with a bright intelligence who just needs her confidence building, with very few issues. With a little work around socialisation of other dogs you will be rewarded with a wonderful companion.
