Lennie - West Yorks

** Lennie Needs a new home **

 

Lennie is a beautiful 14 month old GSD and on the look out for a new home.

 

This is what our volunteer had to say about her.  On arrival Lennie’s greeting was typical of a young excitable, adolescent GSD. Mild jumping up and was minimally vocal. Lennie responded well when asked to settle and did so quickly. She sleeps in her crate overnight and when left, she even took herself into her crate of her own accord.

 

Owner has taken her to classes and made good progress, although in view of lifestyle changes with husbands health etc., this can now be inconsistent. Lennie is strong on the lead and is therefore walked on a gentle leader/halti. I took her for a short walk where she walked beautifully. No reaction shown to traffic, rowdy cyclists, or while walking past children playing in a park. She sat at kerbs and even laid down when asked. I didn’t meet any other dogs while out with her, but the owner reports that Lennie can be vocal and focused while on the lead and will pull towards other dogs to say hello. She is less interested when off lead. 

 

This beautiful, bright young girlie knows the basics and with consistent training and stimulation, I feel Lennie will make a wonderful family member. If interested in Lennie you will need to have had an up to date home check and if so, please get in touch and we can go through the full assessment.
