Meet Meg,
Meg turned 1 in July this year. She is vaccinated, microchipped and was spayed at the beginning of December.
Meg is looking for a new home due to no fault of her own. She was rehomed to her current owner after her elderly owner could no longer look after Meg. Meg missed out on exercise and was not socialised. She wasn’t in great shape and her back leg was dragging. Since being rehomed in May, her current owner has been doing strength exercises and controlled walks and the problem has been resolved. They can no longer look after Meg due to a personal injury.
Meg is walked on an extendable lead and will initially pull, but will settle. Her recall is good on a long whistle as long as there are no distractions. She can react to other dogs outside the property if they’re bitches or nervous dogs.
Meg currently lives with an 12 year old Border collie and she will show dominant behaviour towards him. Her owners recommend that she is rehomed with no dogs or cats.
She has been around children who are GSD savvy.
Meg will bark if people are outside the property. She will jump up at visitors but is friendly.
Meg has been left for 6 hours and does not chew.
Meg visits the groomer every other month.
Meg will require a calm firm owner who can set boundaries and continue with her training. Her recall will require more work.
