This is Keely she is 14 months old and was brought to our attention by the dog warden, due to the dreadful living conditions and the owners mental health conditions.
There were 4 other dogs in the house, which Keely found difficult to cope with.
Keely is a sable long coat, who is unspayed and has just had her first season.
Keely has been in kennels for several weeks, and has really come out of her shell and is a cuddle monster and loves company.
Keely shows no reactivity to her kennel mates when you walk her along the kennels, outside when she sees a dog she will look at it then look to you for reassurance and carry on.
Our volunteer takes her out 2-3 times a week for walks, she walks well on the lead and does not appear to be bothered by traffic, bird scarers, or livestock she will turn round for reassurance then carry on.
Due to Keelys poor start in her young life, we are looking for an experienced home and children over 10yrs old. Initially Keely needs to be the only dog in the house, Keely knows basic commands but would benefit from training/ socialisation classes, and in return you will get all the love and cuddles. Keely likes nothing better than a few treats and cuddles.
Keely is not spayed as she has only just finished her first season.
Are you the right person for this lovely little girl, can you offer her a loving home and the guidance she desperately needs. If you are, please complete the application form.
