Urgent foster or forever home needed (NOW IN FOSTER )

Katie has very sadly found herself in kennels since her elderly owner had to go into a care home, this lovely gentle soul has been alone since October and so when we saw Katie’s plight last week we knew as a rescue we had to help

Katie is shutting down in the kennels due to the length of time she’s been there

Katie is approx 9yrs old and is not spayed, she is a typical black and tan short coat whose just the calmest and friendliest girl with all things considered

We know very little about Katie’s past but she was so pleased to be taken out for a walk on the lead by one of our volunteers

Katie enjoys playing with her ball and wanted to hold the volunteers hand

Katie did walk with the owners of the kennels male GSD and was fine with him but he did then bare his teeth at her and she reacted so it would seem that she’s ok with other dogs as long as they don’t have a go at her which is quite expected given the circumstances

Katie would benefit from a lovely warm retirement home where it’s quiet and she’s the only dog in the home so she could have all the love she deserves

We recommend a home with no small children and no small furries
