Kash - West Yorks

Update : Kash has been in kennels for over a year and he reckons it’s his turn for his very own family. Kash could live with another female he’s such a ladies man and even when they’re giving him a hard time he takes it. He can be a little strong on the lead but not excessive. When out and about he does get a little interested when he sees other dogs but not aggressive.  He absolutely loves travelling in the van.
We often go to a big off lead area and he loves to jump in the paddling pool, which is really handy as he’s a dab hand at playing football so will wash his paws afterwards. He then gets really excited and runs between your legs.
I know whoever comes to meet Kash will not be going home empty handed, he’s such a wonderful dog.

Kash is a stunning boy who is 3 years old. He was picked up as a stray so we don't know much about his past.
Kash is a very smart and very confident dog. He very much knows what he wants and will try and get his own way if he does not trust his handler. He needs to live with a confident and experienced owner who can put boundaries in place so that Kash doesn't try to be in charge.
Kash walks OK on the lead, although he can pull when there is something interesting to sniff. He doesn't react to people or other dogs when he's out and about - he just likes to keep his nose down. Kash has been on a walk with a young female and showed no signs of aggression, he was just very giddy.
We think he would best suit a home where he is the only dog though because he guards his space when he sees other dogs and has a dominant nature. We also wouldn't rehome him with children as we don't know what he would be like and we feel he's too boisterous to be around little ones.
Kash loves to jump in the van and go for a drive or simply watch the world go by. He's highly trainable – in fact he will form a bond with the person who works with him. Kash is a typical GSD in many regards – he's strong and intelligent and will be the most loyal dog once he finds his special person.
