Well if there was ever a dog that needed a new home it would be this beautiful girl. Karma is small for a shepherd but perfectly formed. She is underweight at present and climbing the walls.
Karma is 2 years old and has lived in her current environemtn since she was 8 months old. She was bought for one of the 7 children that she resides with. She also lives with her brother and 4 cats. Her environment to say the least is manic.
Sadly the son for whom she was bought is now working 12 hour days and no one else in the family is able to walk her.
This has led to her becoming a bit of an asbo.... known to escape the garden but we believe that she just wants to run and play..... the neighbours are of a different opinion. Both neighbours dislike Karma and throw fireworks and beer bottles over the fence at her. This really isn't a suitable life.
The volunteer was met by a typical GSD, a bark and then excitement to say hello. She saw no sign of aggression just a coiled spring waiting to be relaeased. She did say that with a flat collar and lead she would have ended up face planting the pavement as Karma is like a steam train on a lead so this will need to be worked on.
If we read between the lines, with the 7 children who all have varying degrees of autism another dog, 4 cats all, in a small spae maybe this is just too much for Karma and she is feeding off the kids behaviours.
If you have a calm quiter home with some time to let Karma decompress, have the exercise she needs to give her the ability to listen and learn we believe that she will calm down. Daily exercise and a good diet to build her weight and we are hopeful that she will become an all round lovely girl.
