Meet the gorgeous Isla sadly in need of a new home due to her owners ill health.
Isla is spayed vaccinated and microchipped.
Isla has not lived with children but has met a couple of calm children and been fine. We would look for a family with older children or an adult only home.
THe volunteer says:
Isla is a gorgeous happy boistrous young lady. She seems much younger than her 5 years. She is sweet enthusiastic with a bouncy puppy like energy.
Isla has lived her life so far on a canal boat. Sadly dad was taken into hospital and Isla's world as she knows it has gone. Inititlally looked after by marina staff and then collected by family mambers who really have no understanding of large dogs and are struggling to cope.
She was introduced to the volunteers dogs and after the initial fluff and bluster she settled and played well with the younger dog wrestling kissing and then falling asleep next to him. She was molre appropriate with the oilder dog . She is quite shy oln initial introduction but it didn't take long for her to settle with the volunteer and enjoy some training.
She has zero recall and with her nature secure fields rather than open countryside would be far better for off lead activities. Country walks in the wide world would need to be on a long line.. She is relatively petite and her breed papers call her a "caledonian Wolfalike" she has traits of her breed, not over;ly guarding but a high prey drive .
Isla is fine with ;larger dogs, her family are wary of smaller dogs and she is a no to cats.
Whilst Isla isn't a purte GSD she is a really lovely special girl. She is affectionate, naturally joyful and has soooo much to give.
All she is asking for is the right person or family to offer her regualr walks, fun, companionship and most of all stability. I don't think she is asking too much after everything she has been through..... is that family you ?????
