Meet Iris,
Iris is 18months old. She is vaccinated and microchipped and unspayed
She was handed over to the vet to be PTS because she was “biting” but when the owners were questioned, it was confirmed “nipping”. The vets refused to put Iris down and held onto her while contacting rescues.
During her time at the practice, the vet nurses have taken turns walking and spending time with her. They all describe her as a loving, affectionate young girl who simply needs some guidance. Iris can be nervous when meeting new people and can be quite vocal, but this is likely due to a lack of early training and socialisation.
She has learnt sit, paw and stay.
She has walked happily with a Cocker Spaniel and a Labrador, and she has been around children without ever showing aggression.
Iris will require a home that has the time and patience to train and socialise her.
We think it would be best for her to go to a pet free home as she hasn’t lived with another dog or cat
We would only rehome with older children due to her being bouncy and nervous.
Iris is a lovely young dog who deserves a chance to thrive. With the right home and gentle guidance, she will make a loyal and loving family member.
