Tara - Bucks

tara lovely older german shepherd

Tara is a 7 year unspayed bitch. She has never lived with children so we would only rehome her with older children. She is not good with other dogs generally as she has not had much socialisation from what we can gather but does play with the large dog next door who is a male. Tara was purchased from an ad and was previously kept in a pub as a deterrent however she is a very loving and loyal dog and was very pleased to see our volunteer. Tara loves playing with her toys! This girl just needs an experienced home to give her the love and attention she deserves. Being rehomed through no fault of her own.

Shane - Essex

shane gsd cross

Shane is a 5 year GSD cross collie. He is currently with another rescue where he had been taken in as a stray via the dog warden. Being microchipped they were able to track down his original owner who stated they had rehomed him a couple of years before as he was too strong for the lady and kept knocking over the grandchildren. The supposed current owner could not be traced! Shane is very good with his basic commands and loves to play fetch with his ball. He is a strong dog but walks well on his lead. Shane is very friendly and playful with all people and children but detests other dogs so would need to be the only pet. Can you give this gorgeous boy a home?

Shadow - Surrey

shadow short coat black gsd

This gorgeous young man was picked up as a stray outside of a travellers site where he had been worrying the sheep in the farmers field. We think he is only about 2 and when he has some weight on him he is going to be a stunning dog. He has a super temperament with people when he gets to know you as he is very nervous at present. Currently in foster he has been the perfect house guest so far.

Kyzer - London

kyzer gsd

Kyzer is a 4 year old entire boy who needs to find a new home due to a family member's ill health. Because of this, Kyzer does not receive the exercise and time he deserves. He is a gorgeous, obedient lad with a big heart. He barks when strangers approach the house but once they are let in, he greets them in a friendly manner (although may become a bit bouncy). He is used to living with children and he loves them to such extent that he wants to greet every child in the park. Not really cat friendly but it is not properly tested - he chases cats out of the garden but when he was once confronted by a more confident cat, he left him alone, so possibly could live with a cat already used to big dogs. Because Kyzer hasn't been walked for a few months (he is exercised only in the garden at present), he has a lot of pent up energy which has a bad influence on his obedience but we are sure that with the right amount of daily walks, he will quickly go back to his old self.

Remi - Herts

remi pretty gsd

This pretty girl is 4 year unspayed Remi. She is unknown with children so we would only rehome her with older children. Remi has not had much socialisation with other dogs but has never been in a fight or shown aggression towards them. Remi can be a little nervous and possessive of her food and toys and would benefit from a confident home that can help her learn to relax more. Only being rehomed due to a new baby on the way.

Nemo - Essex

nemo gsd

This handsome lad is 2 year neutered Nemo. He is vaccinated and microchipped. Nemo currently lives with young children. He is usually OK with larger dogs but does not like smaller dogs and this is why he is being rehomed as there is a JRT in the home. Nemo greeted our volunteer like a long lost friend who found him to have excellent recall. Nemo does have a condition which means his lips need to be cleaned twice a day with hibiscrub but the vet has advised that it could be cured with a small operation.  Our volunteer would have taken him home himself had it been practical.

Heiko and Sheba - Essex

heiko and sheba gsd's

Sheba (left) is a 6 year spayed bitch who currently lives with her brother Heiko (right) who is entire. Both dogs are fantastic with children and very friendly and good natured with everyone they meet (our volunteer wanted to take them home with her). Sheba is very good with other dogs but Heiko can be a little dominating sometimes until called away. Heiko and Sheba were taken in originally when their owners emigrated. They were adopted by a family who unfortunately now have a change in circumstances and are forced to rehome them. We would love for these two to stay together. If you have the space you will more than be rewarded with these super dogs.

"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion."
