FINN - KENT

This gorgeous young boy is in need of an experienced home. Finn is a long haired entire boy who looks like a bear of a dog, tall and wide with an impressive coat. At 15 months he is showing signs of adolescence, his owners are struggling to controol his reactiveness when out and about.

The volunteer was advised to ignore Finn on arrival at the home, which he duly did. All he got was a sniff, couldn't ask for a better greeting. Ignore that advice and he will bark and bark then bark some more.

In the home Finn lives with a baby, a cat and a female dog without issue. He is said to be nigh on perfect in and around the home. He loves the female owner and does the shepherd thing of following her everywhere but no sign of guarding.

The volubteer went on a very long walk to try and meet another dog so that he could see for himself the described behaviours. They only met a dog about 50yds in front  but there was no reaction. We are told that when Finn sees another dog he will want to get in first and bark.... A LOT.... When he realises that he is not on a lead he hides behind his owner and barks from there. A LOT MORE ....

With time patience and understanding of a fearful dog you could be just the home that Finn is looking for. Definitley still young enough to be turned around. Not perfect on day one or two but definitely a workable project to turn him into the dog outdoors that he displays indoors.

Please don't overlook this lovely lad .....
