Damon looking very serious, holding Cassie and Carmen
A great day was had by all. We had a fantastic team of GSDR vollies. Paula Curtis, Helen Key, Alex Ward, Eva Rogers, Belle Rogers, Evan Rogers, Damon Harris and me, not forgetting our two young trainees Dylan and Cody Harris.
Volunteers ready for action
The stall looked fantastic. We had a colouring competition which went down very well with the younger visitors to the stand.
Having a breather and a bite to eat
We had a lot of interest in our stand, increasing awareness of GSDR and the valuable work that we do.
The dogs loved saying hello to lots of people young and old
Dogs present were Cassie, Carmen, Khan and Kali. And a special guest appearance from the infamous Ice and his owner Lucy and Mark.
The gorgeous Ice with his mum Lucy
Ice is now recovering well from his surgery. His story is here
Ice after his surgery
Ice is looking so well after his life saving surgery. Hopefully this is and end to his problems and and end to the worry for his owners Lucy and Mark.
For anyone who is still in doubt the GSD is not a family dog!!
Several brave people conquered their fear of German Shepherds and came and had a cuddle, with the dogs that is!
Having a serious discussion!!
Carmen and Cassie
The beautiful Carmen and Cassie. Carmen proved to everyone that at 10 yrs old she, and all the other older GSDs up for adoption, still had a lot of love to give.
A great day but a busy day for team GSDR
Nice coat!
It was a really rewarding fun day, we did an a lot to promote both the breed and the rescue and may even have found some new volunteers or homes for our dogs in need.
Once again, a huge thanks to team GSDR for helping raise more funds for the charity so that we can help even more German Shepherds
