Darla is looking for a new home due to an incident with another dog in the home. Our volunteer met her, and here is what he had to say. Darla is a very sweet girl but is very timid with new people. She didn’t bark when I entered the home, but sat hiding behind the owner and did give me a few nervous growls. After 30 minutes, she was taking treats from my hand.
Initially, on our walk, she was very wary of me, but after 5 minutes she was quite comfortable and eventually let me stroke her. No issues with traffic, people, cycles, or runners. She showed minimal interest in other dogs and listened when I told her to walk on. She’s young and will be a lovely dog; she just needs to build confidence to trust people.
