CHEERFUL CHASE
What a cheerful boy! Chase comes to us from Spain, where his compatriots usually have a worse time than he endured. We think he was on the streets for a few days. He escaped from his first home. Apparently the land was insecurely fenced, and so he took advantage and went off for a 'jolly' by himself. He was picked up from the streets by a well-wisher and he was traced back to his owner. The vet officiating suggested that he should be signed over to the lady, who found him. He was then fostered for a while, until his foster person couldn't look after him any longer. She did a lot of travelling. That was when he was surrendered to the pound. He was quickly spotted then by a local rescue, who contacted Cat and Dog World Kennel and the rest is history. That is how Rocco's Rescue heard about his plight and intervened. GSDR and Rocco's Rescue work together and that is how he came to be one of our dogs and he is available for adoption here in the UK.
What a story! How many people have worked together, unknowingly? We do not know most of the Spanish rescuers, who played such a significant role. No wonder this lad is cheerful. We ought to call him Lucky.
So, to be fair, Chase is not as traumatised as most dogs from the Spanish pound. He has been well trained, at one time, and we are told that he will walk on or off lead. He is a laid back happy boy and is said to be good with children and other dogs.
Chase is currently at kennels in North Lincolnshire. He has served his DEFRA time and is being assessed. We are already confident that he is a charming, friendly boy.
Does anyone want a handsome, straightforward dog? Who wouldn't?
