Meet the lovely Bronte who through no fault of her own is sadly in need of a new mum and dad.
Bronte is spayed vaccinated and microchipped.
She currently lives with an older jack russell and until very recently lived with a cat.
The volunteer heard Bronte as he arrived but an alert to let her owner know someone exciting was at the door. She was easily handled by the owner as the volunteer entered. She does jump up but with pure excitement of a visitor who may shower her with attention.
Bronte is a needy girl who just loves attention. She needs a home where people are around most of the time.
The volunteer had this to say:
Whilst not quite the perfent dog Bronte would not take much effort to reach perfection !! She is a dog who welcomes everyone into the home, quickly ending up on her back seeking attention.
She is quite a petite girl but seems strong fit and agile.
Out walking she pulls slightly on the lead, but was quickly realeased from her lead to scamper after squirrels and collect sticks. She was a delight to walk with. She has excellent recall if there are no distractions but zero recall if there is something more exciting..... a little work needed here.
She will assert herself when on a lead if she sees another dog but nothing that said to the volunteer that she was aggressive. This is only on a lead... again some work needed here... off lead she can be quite dominant with other dogs and will put them in their place if she feels they need it but never been in a fight.
Bronte loves a routine and that is now sadly missing from her life. If you have lots of time to give this lovely girl the attention and exercise that she needs she will be forever grateful
