Blake - Tyne & Wear

Blake - Tyne & Wear
This handsome boy is Blake. He is in serious trouble. Can you help him please? Blake lives happily on a farm with horses and chickens and other dogs. But he goes into ‘red zone’ when he comes across sheep. He does not savage them: he only wants to chase but this has caused pregnant ewes to abort and this has been reported to the police. He has to be rehomed very soon or he will be seized and euthanized. His owner is absolutely distraught as Blake is a lovely boy in all other respects. He loves all humans and is very closely bonded to his female carer. Dogs do transfer this kind of attachment, but he is likely in view of this, to do particularly well with another female carer.

Blake is a fundamentally well behaved boy. He has had basic training and will go on to do more easily, as he is fixated upon balls. He walks well on a lead and, apart from the sheep, he is a well behaved straightforward boy, who could simply do with more training. But don’t forget about the sheep. He must never come into contact with them again unless on lead!
