Bert - Essex

Bert - Essex

This gorgeous boy is our gentle giant Bert who GSDR took from a pound where he was due to be put to sleep. He is about 5 and entire.

Bert has been in our care for a while now and is good with everyone, both new people and the staff at the kennels. Bert loves people and has basic commands. He just wants to please.

Bert is very gentle when taking food is not food aggressive in the slightest.

He is good to walk but is quite strong on the lead at times. Bert does not like most dogs but he does get on with more females allowing him to be in run directly next to them.

He has been known to bark and pull towards other males whilst out walking but can be distracted with a shaker bottle which he is quite submissive to (used to distract attention with a loud rattle noise) or by simply pulling over to one side, far enough out of the way, where he will just watch the dog pass. A head collar would help too

Bert has been bathed and was extremely good during this.

Bert has been in kennels far too long and deserves a home to call his own now where he will do anything to please his new family. Please give our Bert a chance.
