Bella - Norfolk

Bella was not always graced with a name. We lifted her as an emergency from a home where she was referred to as 'it' and answered to 'Git 'ere'. She lived outside and only came into the house infrequently. She was brutally disciplined and the RSPCA had been called in as concerns were expressed as to her condition.

GSDR felt that she could not be left any longer and so she went into emergency foster immediately. And now she has blossomed. She was desperately shy and ignorant of household ways. She did not really want to come inside at first and, when she was in the kitchen, she surfed the worktops. But she was always sweet.

Bella has been in foster for over a week now and she is learning the ways of the world. She is still a sweet girl with no issues other than her slight shyness. She has been taught some household manners and she has learned to socialize with the other dogs.

Bella was fine almost immediately with the little dogs but was frightened of her big foster brother at first - not surprising. It was described as 'an elephant trying to play with a mouse. But the elephant is getting smaller and the mouse is growing'. We received the picture of the two of them playing together happily the next day. She learns fast.

Bella still needs an especially loving home. She has come a long way but she was severely traumatised and it will take some time until she recovers completely. But clearly she is capable of change and can adapt to new and quite daunting circumstances. She has courage but not experience and she has been woefully deprived of her puppyhood.

Bella is beautiful with stunning eyes, she is bright and sweet natured. What's not to like? Are you special enough to deserve her?
