BEAU - ESSEX

It is very rare that we advertise young dogs in our area. We would normally have homes waiting for young dogs in need and they would not need to be advertised.

Beau is just 9 months old and in need of a new home, through NO FAULT of her own, She is sadly a victim of circumstance.

Her origianl home was a 3rd floor flat with 2 young children and spent most of her time crated. Here she learned how to walk well on a lead by the side of a pram, but living in a flat as she got bigger was not right for her and her present owners stepped in. A life changing event for Beau as she currently lives on a farm with acres of land horses and a french bulldog for company. Her present owners have worked hard with her but they have a very busy lifestyle with children of their own and fostering but also horses and jobs. They feel that Beau needs someone with time to give especially for her.

Beau has been going to training classes weekly and is doing really well. At home she very rarely gets taken out as her home is rural and she has plenty of fields to run and explore. She will need work on her socialisation outside of the home but at such a tender age this should not be too difficult,

The volunteer was met by 2 excited dogs jumping up but with no aggression. Beau took treats very gently, although did jump up for them, but stopped when corrected. With consistency and a little work we are sure this can be stopped. She is very food motivated so training should be a doddle.

We are saying NO to cxats as although Beau lived in the same flat as a cat in her first home she does love to chase the resident cat in her present home.... does she want to hurt it ?? a question that will not be answered as she is not given the chance, but the volunteer doesn't think so.

Since going to training there is a marked difference in her behaviour. She no longer barks at every dog she sees. She is a clever young lady eager to learn and anyone taking her on should continue with her training.

Beau is slowly learning commands and although will follow a command she still has no duration to any command, if you ask for a down you get a roll over for belly rubs!!!!

The present owners took her in to save her from a less than suitable life. They knew at the time that they didn't have the time to dedicate to her as they have very busy lives but wanted her to have a good home. You could call them her foster carers whilst we look for her forever home.

Beau needs a family who have the time to dedicate to her. Her training needs to continue, she is a gentle girl with an eagerness to please. SAnyone putting in the woirk will have a fantastic dog who will be a delight to own.

We arfe looking for a very special home for this young lady..... she deserves only the best
