Meet Bear who is a gorgeous long haired Black and Tan boy whose looking for his forever home

Bear is 2yrs old and has recently been neutered

Bear is excellent in the home and is fully house trained

He gets very excited to meet new people and will bark with excitement and jump which is typical for his age when no boundaries have been set

Bear will let you know if there is somebody at the door

He is very Interested in livestock and would chase given the chance

No cats

Bear travels well in the car but needs to be restrained in the back as otherwise he will make his way into the front seat

He can be reactive to some terrier types and will react to other dogs if they react to him

Bear will stop barking when told and will sit with firm instructions when out

He really needs a confident handler who will teach him slowly he doesn’t need to back up his owner telling off another dog

Bear has not lived with children and so we wouldn’t recommend a home with children under 12 but would prefer an adult only home if possible.

Bear has been in a foster with the rescue where he has done very well but he really needs a home where he is either the only dog in the home or he could live with a confident dominant female who would put him in his place

Bear lives with an older spaniel who is confident with other dogs but dislikes the smaller poodle who is a nervous and less confident dog

Bear has a strong herding drive

Bear is silly, loud and bossy but has the potential to be a wonderful dog with the right training and guidance
