Ayda in Lincolnshire

ACTIVE AYDA

Ayda is still a pup. She is only nine months old and she is a cheerful boisterous girl, who is now beginning to overface her owners. They are not experienced GSD owners and Ayda did not receive early basic training as a pup. Her owners work long hours and did not realize the extent of the investment of time and energy needed to habituate a pup to living in a home as a family member. So Ayda is still an untrained pup in a nearly adult body. They are worried that, because of her exuberance, she is too rough for the younger child, aged five, and actually hurts him unintentionally.

Ayda is a straightforward prospect for any experienced owner. She needs to be taken back to basics and to learn that she needs to be on her best behaviour at home as well. She is said to be very well behaved at Doggy Day Care. She clearly understands how to respond to anyone who is capable of showing her leadership. In fact, she is a very typical untrained young hooligan.

Ayda will need a strong experienced owner. She is an ebullient extrovert and has the usual issues around jumping up, food aggression and other bids for dominance, demanding attention by barking and wanting to chasing cars. But she will make a lovely dog if she goes to the right owner, who has the tenacity and insight to be firm and consistent in her training.
