Meet Alfie, a gorgeous 8 month old GSD X Dutch Herder pup. He is looking for a new home as his previous owners' circumstances have changed and they can no longer look after him.
Alfie is a typical puppy, he's a friendly and bouncy boy who likes to greet visitors by jumping up at them. He has never lived with other pets but seems to get on well with the dogs he sees when out on a walk. If a dog barks at him he will bark back but there is no aggression and he soon calms down. He still has an inquisitive puppy nature and likes to go say hello to other dogs. He would probably like a nice older brother or sister to show him the ropes.
Alfie is a very smart boy and knows basic commands, although his lead training needs some work. He pulls on the lead and will only get stronger ; so his new owner will need to work on this with him. Due to his breed we are looking for someone who can provide Alfie with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. He would benefit from doing activities such as mantrailing, agility etc to prevent him getting bored. Alfie currently gets destructive when left alone at home, but we are sure this behaviour will stop once his needs are met and he gets into a routine with his new family.
Alfie is a lovely and playful boy who will make a cracking dog for someone who understands the breed and takes the time to further his training.
