REHOMED
'It is impossible not to fall in love with this boy'
These were the words of our assessor having met and spent quite some time with this pup. He is clearly an angel. He is left for long periods every day: he is not walked, and he lives with an owner who cannot cope with a young dog. He is very receptive to her in the house but he gets overcome with excitement and high spirits when outside. All of this would come as no surprise to someone who knew the first thing about GSDs.
The reason for rehoming Alfie is that the family is moving to Spain and cannot take him with them. Happily, this means that Alfie can now have a home where he will be cared for appropriately. He has no issues as such and indeed has shown what an honest and good-natured dog he is not to have turned vicious with frustration at his present life. He is only bouncy and strong and jumps up! he needs further training and socialisation. He is unsure with other dogs but has lived with one for a while. This area of his experience needs development.
His owner cannot manage Alfie on the lead but we have video footage of our assessor walking him to heel without a problem. This boy is the perfect dog waiting to be revealed. With exercise, company, love and fun in his life and boundaries, he will mature into the perfect dog.
