Please do not overlook taking on an older German Shepherd dog looking for a home. They have the same right to a nice home as younger dogs.

Carmen
This long haired beauty, is 7 yr old Carmen. Not upto date with vaccinations. Carmen has not been spayed & last had a season in Feb. Carmen greeted our volunteer in a really friendly manner, wagging tail. She can however be protective of her home. She is an active, healthy lady, who needs to know who is boss, or she thinks she is!
Zara
This pretty little lady, is Zara. Picked up as a stray, and we think she is around 2-3 yrs old. Zara is a little bit nervous, but seems friendly enough when she trusts you. Barks at other dogs on lead, but not aggressivley, in a more palyful manner. Zara needs building up weight wise and confidence wise.
Odin
This cheeky chappy is Odin. Approximately 3 yrs old, entire male. Odin was a stray, so we know little about him. Can be bit nervous of strangers, but seems a nice dog otherwise. In good health.
Jake
This is 4 yr old, entire male, Jake. A really playful, boisterous dog, so older children only. Cats no. Jake has been attacked by another dog, so needs careful introductions, but could live with another dog. Loves having a bath. Jake lives outside, but could adjust to indoors living.Microchipped but not upto date with vaccinations. Jake has had some obedience training, & responds well to experienced handlers. Showed no aggression just playfulness to our assessor. A great dog for any active home.
Lady
This is Lady, approx 7 years old, spayed bitch. Lady was left behind when her owners moved out, and a neighbour took her in. Unfortunately she is too much for this person to handle. Lady is quite a dominant girl, strong on the lead. She isnt keen on other dogs when out, and has attacked when off lead. With the right , experienced, firm owner, Lady will be a great girl. She just needs leadership. Housetrained. Fine with people. Cats unknown. Lady is overweight & bored, and this is coming out in her behaviour. Upto date wuth vaccinations.
Blue
This lovely boy is Blue. Approx 2 yrs old. Picked up as a stray we have no history on Blue. He is very friendly, doesnt appear to have any aggression in him, just alot of excitement when he sees you. No food aggression. Fine being grooomed. A really nice dog needs out of kennels.
Harley
This handsome boy is 2 yr old, neutered male, Harley. Microchipped & vaccinated, booster due Jan 2011. Travels well & is housetrained. Harley's owners work full time & he is left for 8 or 9 hours a day. Harley is allowed to do whatever he wishes in the house, so is dominating the owners, not aggressively, but he does nip when he cant get his own way. Pulls on the lead, does need training & socialising. With a little time & an experienced owner, Harley will be a great dog. Too boisterous for young children. Cats no.
