Please do not overlook taking on an older German Shepherd dog looking for a home. They have the same right to a nice home as younger dogs.

Rex
This foxy looking old boy, is Rex, approximately 8 yrs old. Rex has been passed around alot over the last 12 months, passed around family members when they got bored of him. He has lived with children, but would prefer a quiet home. He is quite active still, and no apparent health issues, apart from he is very thin. A nice old chap who deservesa nice retirement home.
Bella
This pretty lady, is 5 yr old, spayed bitch, Bella. She is a really well trained, pleasant dog. She is fine with some dogs, but was attacked by a mastiff, and can be aggressive to some dogs. The owner has a young baby & feels she cant cope with this behaviour. Vaccinated & microchipped. Fine with the children. Not food/toy possessive. A gentle & affectionate girl. New owner must be aware of her issues with other dogs.
Zac
Zac is an 8 year old Neutered boy. He had his first vaccinations but not the follow up ones. He is not microchipped. He is a Black and Tan short haired lad. Absolutely adores children, he actually prefers them to adults as he loves to play (as the photo's show) he is definitely the 'Peter Pan' of the dog world. I have been told he is ok with cats and does not seem bothered about other dogs. Although he is quite boisterous, he is gentle and was careful not to knock the children over. He walks well on a lead and likes to lean his head on you when being walked. He is housetrained even though he is an 'outdoor' dog. This is a very well socialised boy who deserves a lovely home, he is a much loved boy and the owners regret having to part with him.
Heidi
This stunner is 3 yr old, spayed bitch, Heidi. She is a lovely semi coated black shepherd, who is not very confident in new situations. She would benefit from living with a well balanced dog. Cats a definite no. Has had some training. Being rehomed because a family member is allergic to her.
Milo
This is 5 yr old neutered male, Milo. He is a lovely friendly dog, good with children, and good with other dogs. He gets very excited at walk time, and would make a rubbish guard dog! No known health issues. Milo can be a little possessive over his food, but never bitten. A really nice alround temperament.
Prince
Prince beautiful B & T semi coat, 5 year old, neutered. Vaxed till May 10, flea and worm treated. Lovely friendly dog towards people is good with children of all ages, and visiting people is house-trained and not destructive, has lived with a westie and a cairn, is aggressive to dogs outside the family home especially spaniels, gives very little warning will attack, except when on lead will bark, no cats does not like. Will attack sheep the reason for rehoming. Basic commands, i found him good on lead, will recall as long as no distractions, travels well and loves to get in the car.
Alfie and Megan - owners emigrating
Alfie is a semi length coat and Megan is a short coat, they are half brother sister one month between them. They have beautiful temperaments. Both dogs are use to cats being around. They are very well behaved and clean animals, they have been use to living in or outdoors . Both dogs are excellent with children and other dogs, they love walks and love to meet people, they will sit or go down when told to. They are good meeting other dogs as long as the other dog has the same good temperament. Megan has been spayed but Alfie is still entire. Owners are emigrating ealry April.
Jake
Jake is 12 months old, recently castrated, not microchipped and will need to start vaccinations again.
He has been in foster care now for 3 weeks and has made huge improvements in everyway. He is a typical boisterous male gsd, he needs to be reminded he is not in charge in the right way and he will make you a fantastic dog. He absolutely loves his rubber balls and will play all day long, have 2 on hand to keep swapping them as he likes to keep hold of one at the beginning! He is at present living with 6 gsd's, a JRT and 4 cats which he is fine with, he has seen horses and has chased and then kicked so may have done the trick...we will see. Jake is a very affectionate dog who has endured quite a bad start to his short life, but with some help he is turning it all round to be a lovely lad. He is looking for a family pref with no children although he has spent time with 2 children of 8 and 12 and been no problem, who are active and prepared to take him to training and socialisation classess and keep him in his place as he grows into a super dog. Quite a bit of GSD exp necessary for this young lad as he is quite sharp and alert in all he sees and does. He will only be allowed to go to a home who understands all of the above.
Koshka
This is 4 yr old, neutered male, Koshka. Fully vaccinated. Travels ok in the car. Lives with other dogs, but is very bouncy, so can be too much for them. Koshka has a lovely temperament, very friendly, a real joy to be around. Fine with cats. Housetrained. Koshka loves swimming, and any water he sees ,he will be in! Needs work on lead training as he spends all the time off-lead. Needs rehoming due to relationship breakdown.
Rocky - beautiful big boy
This beautiful big lad came from a family home where he had not been getting much attention or exercise plus he was kept outside. He is a fantastic example of the breed and a typical male GSD. He is suspicious of strangers but OK once introduced. He is OK with other dogs as long as they don't bounce all over him. He is currently in foster where he has readily adapted to living indoors! Someone is going to be very lucky to adopt this lovely lad. More pictures and videos of Rocky are on our Facebook page.
Ruby
This gorgeous girl is 6 yr old spayed bitch, Ruby. Vaccinated & microchipped. Ruby is very affectionate when she knows you. Fine with cats. Walks well on the lead, good recall. Lives with children 12 yrs plus. Ruby was not getting along with the other gsd bitch she lived with, so is now in foster care. Gets on well with male dogs, or non-confrontational bitches. Ruby is a sensitive soul, who when she gets stressed, tends to wee in the house, she is completely clean if she is happy. A stunning lady, needing a loving home.
Bess
Bessie is a very sweet and good natured black and tan, short haired, unspeyed girl who showed her affection for our Assessor by giving her a huge lick. She is quiet in the house and obeys basic commands. Bessie is not good with cats. She is good with dogs she knows, but would need very careful introduction to new ones as she does show aggression towards them. She has never lived with children but our Assessor was told she is good with an 8+ year old. Bessie does not chew furniture, loves to travel and is fully housetrained. She does pull on the lead, but with training this could be cured. Bessie loves to play ball and loves water. Due to the aggressive tendancies with other dogs and her high chase instinct, Bessie will need to go to an experienced GSD handler.
Max
Max is beautiful 10 yr old castrated boy, he is a lovely boy and will be anyones best friend for a treat or two, he is wary of children so would be suited to an adult only home, he will chase cats outside but is ok ish inside if told sternly to leave. He lives with another dog and is fine, he is vaccinated.
