Willow - West Midlands

Willow is a beautiful 2 year old girl who is sadly looking to be re homed as she doesnt cope around owners grand child (who is now 3) and Willow finds the high energy/excitement of a child too stimulating and she gets very stressed. Although both are separated on weekly visits this scenario is upsetting for the child and indeed the dog. Going forward Willow will need a quieter home. Willow was purchased as a pup at 11 weeks old and over the months it has been apparent that Willow has suffered with a few conditions mainly elbow dysplasia at 7 months (no further complications) and a long running battle with trying to find the best food options for her sensitive tummy (this is now under control with a feeding regime of white pollock, over cooked brown rice and white fish kibble). Treats can be given sparingly - fish jerky or lactose free cheese, any other meats or veg can set off her tummy bouts).

Outside Willow is lead reactive to other dogs as she was attacked as a youngster and has never got over the trauma, however she does have doggy pals and has attended day care where there is an outdoor paddock for the dogs to play in off lead.

Our volunteer found a gentle quiet dog who obviously loves the company of adults and just maybe needs a quieter, rural environment where she wouldn't be subjected to many other dogs and obviously owners who are prepared (like most of us) to cope with a special diet.
