Waldo - Bridgend

This lovely boy is Waldo who is 1-year-old semi coated boy who is still entire.

Waldo is nervous aggressive and does not like strangers at all but his owners say that once he has met people a couple of times he is quite happy to be around them.

They have tried a couple of behaviourists and through the summer they had plenty of time to work with him but now they have both gone back to work, he has regressed quite a bit.

Waldo needs someone with plenty of time to spend with him to help him overcome his issues.

When visitors come he gets very stressed so they have cut back on having visitors which of course will make things worse.

When our volunteer went to assess him, one of the owners walked him out on a lead whilst she and the other owner walked behind. Waldo wasn't very happy about this and kept looking back and barked now and then.

He wouldn't let our volunteer get too close as this was the first time of meeting her and he wouldn't have coped with her taking the lead. The owners said that if she visited again, he would be much better next time.

His owners currently keep him away from beaches and other busy places and choose quiet locations so as not to straws him further.

Waldo is a project and needs someone experienced and willing to help him. With the right person, we have no doubt that he will come on in leaps and bounds given time and patience. He may benefit from living with a calm confident dog as he is good with other dogs but hates cats. Because of his nervous aggression, a quieter adult-only home would be best

Can you give Waldo what he desperately needs for him to feel safe and secure and help build his confidence?

This beautiful boy deserves to be helped
