Troy - West Yorks

This boy is special and he has come a long way.
We were first alerted to Troy by the solicitor of his frail and elderly owner. Troy, protecting his master, had bitten two people and found himself with a destruction order. GSDR stepped in to save this boys life and the courts agreed to lift the destruction order on the condition that the rescue removed him from the property and situation he was in.
Troy was removed by an experienced handler in a full boy bite suit and was brought into kennels.

He has slowly learned to trust over the last few months and we felt it was time to place him back in a home environment with an experienced fosterer.

And here’s the amazing part... Troy is happily living with a male and female GSD as well as two cats and loves them all.

He has met several people both on and away from the property with no issue.

We believe that Troy was just in full protection mode with his previous owner and now he feels he doesn’t have a ‘job to do’, he has been able to relax and enjoy life.

He will, naturally, need a home with experience to continue to build his confidence and would thrive with another doggie pal to keep him company.

A fantastic boy waiting for the right home.
